Kendall Grundy Community Action, a unit of the Kendall County Health Department will be accepting proposals from contractors interested in participating in the Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program during the period of Oct 24, 2019 through June 30, 2020.

Bid packages will be available on September 25, 2019, or can be picked up the day of the meeting. All Contractors interested in submitting a proposal must call our office at (815)941-3262 ext. 2 by 3 :00 pm on September 26, 2019 to register their company name. The Health Department will conduct an informational meeting on Sept 27, 2019 at 9:00 am. The informational meeting will be held at the Kendall County Health Department, 811 West John Street, Yorkville, IL 60560.

The purpose of this meeting is to explain the Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program and to disseminate bid packets to be completed by the contractor. Examples of HVAC procedures are; furnace/air conditioner, water heater retrofit, repair/replacement, and minor repairs. Examples of Architectural are two-part; foam to attics, basement walls and crawlspace walls, weather-stripping, caulking, insulation, window and door repair/replacement, minor structural repair, further details will be provided at the meeting.

All bid packets must be completed and returned to the KGCA office no later than Oct 11, 2019 at 3:30 pm. Any bids received after that date will not be eligible for consideration.
