Back to School Immunizations During COVID-19
Immunizations, also known as vaccines are one of our greatest defenses against many serious illnesses. It is important to protect our children by offering vaccines that will assist in keeping their immune systems on guard. The Health Department offers immunizations for Vaccine for Children (VFC), and Children Health Insurance Plan (CHIP) insured clients up to age 18 years.
All immunization appointments are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays only. On Tuesdays, appointments start at 11:30am – 2:30pm and 4:30pm - 6:30pm. On Thursdays, appointments start at 9:00am- 11:30am and 1:00pm to 3:30pm. Parents or guardians will need to call to schedule appointment, arrive at scheduled time and park in the designated spot given to you by health department staff. Once you are parked, please call the health department and a staff member will further instruct you on how to proceed through your appointment.
Please note, only one parent /guardian and the child receiving the vaccines will be permitted in the building during this appointment. For the health and safety of all, NO other children or family members will be allowed in the building, so please plan accordingly. A mask/face covering is required to enter the building.
