Crisis / Suicide Prevention Services

Our crisis and suicide prevention services include assessment and immediate stabilization of acute symptoms of mental illness, alcohol and other drug abuse, emotional distress, and symptoms resulting from domestic violence, abuse, or neglect.

Crisis intervention services include:

  • Available in English and Spanish
  • Additional translation and interpretation is available through the our Language Line
  • Available on any county campus during normal business hours
  • Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via emergency crisis line at (630) 553-9100

Our crisis and suicide prevention services are designed to interrupt a crisis experience and provide relief of psychiatric distress. This is done through assessment, counseling, and the client's ability to use own strengths and social supports to experience relief from the crisis episode.
