Coronavirus Disease Update for Kendall County

April 1, 2020

The Kendall County Health Department (KCHD) is reporting 12 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID19). Eight females between the ages of 20-60s and four males between the ages of 40-70s tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019. This brings the total of Kendall County residents who had tested positive to 37.

For the business sector that is considered essential services, please ensure these prevention measures;

  • Promote frequent and thorough hand washing
  • Require workers to stay home if they are sick
  • Ensure social distancing of 6 feet or more amongst workers and customers
  • Discontinue nonessential business travel
  • Discourage workers from using others’ work tools such as phones, desks, and equipment
  • Maintain regular disinfecting of surfaces, equipment and other elements in the work environment
  • Provide workers with critical COVID-19 preventative behavior information

Although the United States have implemented public health measures to limit the spread of the virus, without safe work practices, transmission will continue to occur.
