Professional Drivers and Passengers
As a professional driver (i.e. Lyft, Uber, and Taxi services) potential sources of exposure include close contact between the driver and passenger. P lease consider these precautions when using professional transporting services:
- Stay home if you are sick
- Wear a cloth face covering during transport
- Avoid pooled rides with multiple passengers
- Passengers should always sit in the back seat, rather than the front seat
- Whenever possible, passengers should handle their own personal belongings
- Avoid using the recirculated air option for the car’s ventilation
- Frequently touched surfaces should be disinfected after each transport
- Use proper cough and sneeze hygiene when in transport
- Wash or disinfect your hands with sanitizer before and after each transport
