Professional Drivers and Passengers

As a professional driver (i.e. Lyft, Uber, and Taxi services) potential sources of exposure include close contact between the driver and passenger. P lease consider these precautions when using professional transporting services:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Wear a cloth face covering during transport
  • Avoid pooled rides with multiple passengers
  • Passengers should always sit in the back seat, rather than the front seat
  • Whenever possible, passengers should handle their own personal belongings
  • Avoid using the recirculated air option for the car’s ventilation
  • Frequently touched surfaces should be disinfected after each transport
  • Use proper cough and sneeze hygiene when in transport
  • Wash or disinfect your hands with sanitizer before and after each transport
