The Kendall County Health Department (KCHD) is reporting new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID19) and new persons in recovery, bringing the total cases to 124 and in-recovery to 56.
Illinois dental offices are closed to routine dental care and professional care is limited. It is even more important now to prevent an urgent health issue by taking care of yourself and your children.
There is much you can do keep oral health a priority through simple day-to-day habits:
- Brush twice daily for two minutes with a fluoride toothpaste
- Properly floss and brush/clean your tongue once daily
- Never share a toothbrush
- Change your toothbrush every 3 months or sooner, if you are sick
- Drink plenty of water
- Limit starchy and sugary foods
- Limit sugary drinks
Resume your regular dental and hygiene visits once emergency conditions are lifted.
