The Kendall County Health Department (KCHD) is reporting a new death of a female in her 50s that suffered from additional health complexities. We wish peace and comfort for her family during this difficult time. As of today, we have 1309 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), 872 in-recovery and 24 deaths.

TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
Drive to Success is available for residents in both Kendall and Grundy counties. The aim of this program is to assist working households in meeting their immediate transportation needs by paying off transportation bills such as repairs on their vehicle, insurance, or vehicle payments to prevent workers from losing their transportation to work.
To qualify for this assistance households must have an income equal to or less than 200 percent of the poverty level as defined in the 2020 poverty guidelines and provide required documentation. Please see requirements below:
Required documentation for appointment:
- Social Security numbers for every household member
- Proof of income for the last 30 days including the date of the application for anyone 18 years or older in the household or forward 30 days due to loss of income because of the COVID-19 crisis.
- Car title, license, registration, insurance and driver’s license
- No vehicle in household or only one vehicle in the household
- Proof of employment for 30 consecutive days and employed for at least 20 hours each week
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Car repair estimate if applicable
