The Kendall County Health Department (KCHD) is reporting new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID19) and new recoveries. This brings the total cases to 149 and in-recovery to 87.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the daily number of calls to poison centers increased sharply at the beginning of March 2020 for exposures to both cleaners and disinfectants. CDC recommends with precautions, the proper cleaning and disinfection of high-touched surfaces to help mitigate the transmission of COVID-19. To reduce improper use and prevent unnecessary chemical exposures, users should always:
- Follow label directions
- Don’t mix chemicals
- Wear protection gear/gloves
- Use in a well-ventilated area
- Store chemicals out of reach of children
